There was emotion and joy during the event, as the athlete had missed the celebration of Volley Modenese’s 50th anniversary due to a health issue, which has now been resolved. During the event, over €700 was donated to the Van de Goor Foundation, which focuses on diabetes prevention.

Mayor Muzzarelli also expressed his thanks and recognition by donating a reproduction of “La Bonissima” to Van de Goor at the Town Hall.

On the occasion of his return to “his” Modena, the Dutch volleyball champion Bas Van De Goor also came to us, at the Acetaia, together with his family and his friend Alberto Guidoboni.

It was a great thrill to see the athlete again, who, like us, shares a passion for sport as well as for the quality of our local products, including our Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena D.O.P.

It’s time to revisit our motto, “Strong as Vinegar,” to emphasize Bas Van De Goor’s strength in facing the most difficult match of his life against leukemia.
